Complete memory care.
Our approach.
Expert care and support through diagnosis and treatment of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Let our compassionate experts guide you through diagnosis and treatment of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
About us.
The Memory Disorder Clinic serves Brevard, Indian River, Osceola, Southern Volusia, and St. Lucie counties. We operate in collaboration with Health First Aging Services and the Florida Institute of Technology School of Psychology
Take the first step.
The Memory Disorder Clinic at Health First, one of 17 state-funded memory clinics, provides free memory screening to anyone over the age of 18 who is concerned about memory. Memory screenings are not a diagnosis but an important first step in the evaluation process, serving a vital role toward detection and treatment.
Benefits of memory testing:
- Eliminate worry and fear about “senior moments”.
- Learn ways to improve your memory and age healthfully.
- Discover available community resources.
Call 321.434.7614 to schedule your free memory screening.
Know the difference between Alzheimer’s disease and normal aging.
Forgetting where you left your keys? Totally normal. Not remembering the name of a new acquaintance? It happens to us all. Some memory loss is to be expected as we age. It’s important to know what is normal and when it’s time to talk to a doctor.
Learn how to spot the early signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s or dementia
From diagnosis to education and support.
If you are concerned about your memory or the memory of a parent or loved one, we offer a comprehensive, diagnostic evaluation that will give you the answers you need.
The evaluation includes:
- In-depth physical exam and testing
- Examination of a thorough health history
- A brief neuro-psychological test to assess specific skills such as attention and concentration, executive functioning, motor function and speed, learning and memory and language
- Meetings and assessments with a licensed social worker
- Imaging studies, lab tests or bloodwork, if needed
Our findings will be given to you or your loved one, your family and your primary care physician. We accept Medicare, Health First Health Plans and most other insurance plans.
